Leslie “Les” J. Hagen, 77, of Loyal, died on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the
House of Dove in Marshfield.
Leslie John Hagen was born on January 25, 1944, in Neillsville. The son of
William and Velda (Seelow) Hagen. He graduated from Neillsville High School in
1962 and joined the United States Army. Les served during the Vietnam conflict
and remained in the National Guard for many years. In June of 1966 he married
Carol Garbush. They had 2 children, Elaine and Glen. They later divorced. On Feb
3, 1990, he married Marilyn Neumann in Spencer. During this time, he was working
for Land O’Lakes. He worked various positions during his 30+ years of employment
with them. In his spare time Les loved to golf and enjoyed many golf outings
with his brothers. He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycle,
dining out, going to the casino with his sister and lottery scratch offs.
Les is survived by his children, Elaine (John Kennedy) Hagen of Loyal, and Glen
(Nichole) Hagen of Hudson, stepchildren, Noel (Kay) Neumann, Craig (Cheryl)
Neumann, Paula (Tom) Pue, Shelley (Jay) Gardner, Michael (Janice) Neumann, April
Neumann, Philan Neumann and Neil Neumann, 17 step-grandchildren and 15
step-great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, William “Bill” (Maggie)
Hagen and sisters, Sylvia Dayton and Karen Hagen and nieces, Cheryl (Dan)
Luedtke, Julie Dayton and Vickie (Perry) Lindner. He was preceded in death by
his parents, wife, Marilyn in 2018 and brother, Eugene in 2021.
A Memorial Service for Les will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 11,
2022, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
