Tregembo, Kathleen (12 July 1980)
St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Hurley, was the Saturday, July 12, site for the
wedding of Kathleen Tregembo of Minneapolis and Neil Braatz, now of Anoka, but
formerly of Granton. The Rev. Peter Oberts performed the ceremonies.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Wilfred Tregembo of Ironwood, Michigan, and Mr.
and Mrs. Norman Braatz, Granton. The bride’s brother, Robert, presented his
sister to the altar.
Cindy Parten was matron of honor. She was joined by Betty Corda and Linda Pisani.
Dawn Schutt was flower girl while Michelle Tregembo was the candle-bearer.
Bestman was Vern Bender. He was joined by Dale Braatz and Jack Grassman.
Ushering were James Tregembo and Dale Burke.
The bride chose a gown of Qiana, accented with Venician lace. Lace also adorned
her Queen Anne neckline, cap sleeves and fitted bodice while the skirt was of
crystal pleating and featured a Watteau train. Her floor-length veil was
bordered with matching lace and was gathered into a lace-covered headpiece. She
carried a nosegay of pink roses, carnations and baby’s breath.
A reception was held at the Wakefield VFW Hall with a rehearsal dinner at a
Hurley supper club.
The bride is a graduate of Luther R. Wright High School and holds an associate
degree in business from Gogebic Community College. She is now an assistant for a
Minneapolis dentist. The groom is a graduate of Granton High School and attended
UW-La Crosse and Humboldt Institute, Minneapolis. He is an inventory accounting
specialist for Target Stores of Minneapolis.
After a wedding trip to the east coast, the couple were to make their home in
Anoka.
