The Rev. Horst Augustin officiated at the sharing of wedding vows, July 26,
between Barbara Ure and Gordon Anding. Zion Lutheran Church in Granton was the
site. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ure, Rt. 1 Granton, and Mrs. Annabelle Anding, Rt. 4
Neillsville, are parents of the couple. The father of the bride presented her to
the altar.
Kathy Brehl presented special music for the service.
Serving as Maid of Honor was Sandy Barth, a friend from Chili. She was joined in
the bride’s party by Gail Anding, the groom’s sister from Neillsville.
Best man was Craig Anding, the groom’s brother from Neillsville. He was joined
by Rollin Opelt, a friend also from Neillsville, Kenny Friemoth of Neillsville
and Jim VandeBerg of Granton were ushers. D.J. Anding, a nephew of the couple
from Christie, was ringbearer.
The bride chose a silk loomed Farrel trimmed in Venician Lace and featuring long
sleeves, lace-edged skirt and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of yellow
roses, green and white daisies with baby’s breath. Her attendant wore a sea
green with a sunburst pleated skirt and a sheer cape. She carried green and
white daisies with baby’s breath. The groom was attired in a beige and tan
tuxedo as was the bestman.
Following the ceremonies, a reception was held in the church parlors and dance
followed in the Neillsville American Legion Hall.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Sandy Barth.
The bride is a 1979 graduate of Granton High School and is employed by Clover
Cream Dairy. The groom attended Neillsville Schools and is employed by Tesmer
Construction. They will make their home on Rt. 1 Granton.
