Clark Co.-UW-Eau Claire (Degrees - 1980)

Summer commencement is to be held this coming Saturday, August 9, at UW-Eau Claire. Among the 295 students receiving degrees were several from The Press circulation area.In that group were:

Helen E. Ouimette, who will receive a master’s degree in education-professional development. She also holds a B.S. degree in nursing from Marquette, taken in 1948.

Edwin Schufletowski, Jr., Humbird, will receive a master’s in junior high education. He is presently employed as a math instructor in the Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan School District.

Becky Ann Roberts, daughter of Glenn and Metty Roberts, 410 West First St., Neillsville, will receive a B.S. degree in special education. She plans on teaching special education in Larned, Kansas.

James P. Schield, son of Dr. and Mrs. C.N. Schield, 39 Huron St., Neillsville, will take a B.A. degree with majors in criminal justice and a comprehensive major. He was active in the Criminal Justice Club, serving as its president from 1978-80; and was on the dean’s list in the spring of 1979. His plans are for work in federal law enforcement.
