The Thorp Firemen held their annual meeting Monday night and decided to name
Gene Zoromski as Fire Chief in place of Robert Bodamer, who had been the Fire
Chief for one year.
Recommendation of the Thorp Volunteer Fire Department will now go to the Mayor
and the city council for their final consideration. There has been some
discrepancies with the city fathers and the firemen in the past, as to their
recommendations for Fire Chief.
Edward Swatzina, 506 W. Stanley, Street, and an employee of ITT Life Insurance,
was elected to head the fire company as President, with Harold Homan as Vice
President and Jack LaGasse was re-elected as Secretary-Treasurer.
