Lindau, Albert H. (23 Apr 1891 – 13 Jan 1977)
Albert H. Lindau, 85, Dorchester, died at the Colonial House of Colby at 10 p.m.
Friday.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
here, with the Rev. Roland Golz officiating, and burial was at the Dorchester
Memorial Cemetery.
He was born April 23, 1891 at Dorchester and married Amanda Laack, December 16,
1914 at Dorchester. She died June 19, 1972.
They had farmed in the Town of Mayville until 1968, when they moved to the
village of Dorchester.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Lucille) Daellenbach and Mrs. Robert
(Arlette) Goldamer, both of Abbotsford; four sons, Norman of Medford, Melvin of
Neillsville, Eugene of Waterford, and Elvin of Rice Lake; three brothers, Henry
of Owen, George of Curtiss and Arnold of Dorchester; five sisters, Mrs. Alvina
Beisner and Mrs. Mary Habeck, both of Dorchester, Mrs. Doris Gosse of Wausau,
Mrs. Olga Eggett, Pittsville, and Mrs. Beauford (Amanda) Moore, Pittsville; 19
grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A daughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
