Grimm, Albert W. (15 July 1900 – 11 Aug 1980)

Funeral services were recently held for Albert W. Grimm, 80, of Rt. 1 Chili. The
Rev. William Noble of Neillsville and the Rev. Melvin Roehrdanz officiated, and
burial was made in the Immanuel Methodist Cemetery.
A longtime Chili resident, Grimm was born on July 15, 1900, to Anton and Maria (Nebel)
Grimm. He attended area schools and took over the family farm, operating it
until retiring in 1979. In 1973, he was honored as the oldest living farmer
during Chili’s centennial celebration. He also operated an egg route in the
Chili-Marshfield area for a number of years.
He married Helen Lindow in July 6, 1933, Milwaukee ceremonies. He was a member
of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Chili.
Surviving him, besides his wife, is a sister, Anna Grimm, Neillsville.
Serving as pallbearers were Marion Lee, Forest and Daniel Foemmel, Vernon Lindow,
and Lyle and Gene Kayhart. Bonnie, Edwin and Steve Meissner offered special
music.
