Tischer, Carl A. (13 November 1907 – 8 July 1980) With Flag
Carl A. Tischer, 74, a former Neillsville native, died July 8 in a Lancaster
nursing home where he had resided for the past year.
The deceased was born on November 13, 1907, in Neillsville to Fredrick and
Johanna (Dimler) Tischer. He move to Dubuque, Iowa, from the Neillsville area
many years ago. He had been employed by the John Deere Company’s iron works in
Dubuque for many years prior to retirement.
Tischer was a World War II Veteran and was a member of the AMVETS.
Funeral services were in Dubuque with burial in that community.
Surviving Tischer are three sisters, Mrs. Leo (Lydia) Siebarth of Nora,
Illinois, Mrs. Bert (Laura) Copeland of Rewey and Mrs. Gerhart (Ella) Lichte of
Greenwood.
