Sachse, William (17 August 1901-2 August 1983)

COLBY -- William Sachse, 82, Colby, died today at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

Services are set for Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. The Rev. Robin O. Fink will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Elmer Wellmen, Richard Behrens, Gary Schmidt, Rolland Kencht, Franklin Thieme and Raymond Decker.

Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Colby.

He was born August 17, 1901 in the Town of Mosel, Sheboygan County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Rosa Steinhaus) Sasche. In October 1908 he moved with his parents to a farm in the Town of Hull. He later operated that same farm until 1974 when he retired and moved to Colby.

He and Lena Kowalk were married June 22, 1925 in Colby. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1975. She survives.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mr. Sachse is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Otis (Arlyle Kath of Route 1, Loyal; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Emil (Hertha) Wolk of Colby.
