Negard, John D.(16 April 1916 – 8 March 1981)
A Neillsville summer resident, John D. Negard, died in Cleveland, Ohio, on March
8. Negard, who made his summer home at 622 West Fourth Street, was 64 at the
time of his death.
Negard was born on April 16, 1916, in Northfield. He married Hildegarde Toptine
of Neillsville on November 20, 1940. He worked for Cleveland Electric Company in
Ohio for 44 years, retiring two years ago. Since then he split his year between
Ohio and Wisconsin.
Surviving him, besides his wife, is one daughter, Julie; and a son, Terry. Both
children are Cleveland residents. Also surviving him is his father; three
sisters, all of Black River Falls; and one brother, Houston, Texas.
The body was cremated, and graveside service will be held this summer in
Neillsville.
