daughter, Sandra, to Dave Bielen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Bielen, Loyal.
Sandra, a senior at Abbotsford High School, is employed part-time at Medo-Farms
Restaurant. Her fiancé, a 1970 graduate of Loyal High School, is employed at
Dickman Home, Inc., Spencer.
Wedding plans are indefinite.

Saturday, October 6, 1973, was the date chosen by Miss Sandra Jean Degenhardt
and David James Bielen to exchange wedding vows.
The 2:30 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Emil Hodnik at St. Bernard’s
Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Organist for the ceremony was Miss Jane Polnaszek,
Abbotsford, and soloist, Mrs. Duane Schmidt, Medford.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Degenhardt, Abbotsford, was seen in a
floor length princess gown of sheer organza and Alencon lace over taffeta. She
wore a two-tiered veil of silk illusion.
Serving as maid of honor was Miss Dixie Degenhardt, the bride’s sister. Miss
Lois Bielen, Loyal, was bridesmaid. Both wore princess dresses of apricot
organza over crepe.
Tim Zupanc, Loyal, served as best man, and Philip Pachniak, Edgar, groomsman.
Ushering duties were performed by Duane Schmidt, Medford, and George Riesselman
Jr., Kenosha.
A reception, dinner, and dance were held at the Colby Hotel following the
ceremony.
The bride is a 1973 graduate of Abbotsford High School, and is employed by ILC
Conrath, Spencer.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Bielen, Loyal, graduated in 1970 from Loyal
High School, and works at Dickman Home Inc., Spencer.
The couple is residing at the Willow Court, Lot 23, Route 2, Spencer.
