Miller, Rueben H. (20 Dec 1899 – 12 Jan 1973)
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home in
Colby for Rueben Herbert Miller, 73, Route 1, Unity, who died Friday noon,
January 12, 1973 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been
admitted the previous day.
The Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated, with burial in the town of Brighton cemetery at
Unity. Pallbearers were Ed Melander, Ed Mews, Edward Slenn, William Hennes,
Charles Reise and Salem Erickson.
Mrs. Dorothy Neuman, accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer, provided the musical
portion of the services, with Duane Neuman in charge of American Legion
services.
Mr. Miller was born at Lowell, Wisconsin on December 20, 1899. He spent most of
his life in Chicago, where he worked as a tool and die maker. A veteran of World
Wars I and II, he spent the last several years in this area.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jack (Meta) Saunders of Milwaukee; three
half-brothers, Anton Brewer, Milwaukee, and Ben and Joe Brewer of Unity, and two
half-sisters, Elizabeth Greenwood of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Agnes Dunnegan of
Wisconsin Rapids.
A brother preceded him in death.
