Daellenbach, Martha (10 May 1897-3 August 1983)

ABBOTSFORD -- Mrs. Fred (Martha) Daellenbach, 86, of Chicago, formerly of Abbotsford, died Wednesday at Luther General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Services will be Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Donald Weiss of Janesville, grandson of Mrs. Daellenbach, will officiate. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

The former Martha Steinke was born May 10, 1897 in Dorchester. She and Fred Daellenbach were married December 9, 1913 in Dorchester. He died in 1964. She lived in the Dorchester-Abbotsford area until 1966, when she moved to Chicago to live with her daughter, Mrs. Leona Carlen.

A member of Edgebrook Lutheran Church in Chicago, Mrs. Daellenbach is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Schmidt of Wheeling, Illinois, Mrs. Luella Struglinski of Chicago and Mrs. Margaret Auler of Wauwatosa; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Olga Hoeft of Abbotsford. She was also predeceased by a son, Arnold; a daughter, Anita; two brothers; and two sisters.
