Lydiksen, Andrew (4 Apr 1884 – 17 Feb 1973)
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Church, Riplinger
for Andrew Lydiksen, 88, Riplinger, who died early Saturday morning at St.
Mary’s Hospital at Ladysmith, where he had been a patient since February 1,
1973.
The Rev. David Ault officiated, with burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
Mr. Lydiksen was born in the town of Unity on April 4, 1884. On January 11, 1912
he married Amelia Luedtke in the town of Loyal.
They farmed in the town of Unity for 32 years, and moved to Riplinger in 1944.
He was a member of the town board and also St. John’s Church.
Survivors, besides his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Pipkorn,
Holcombe, and a son, Harold of Chicago. Ten grandchildren and eighteen
great-grandchildren also survive.
A son, daughter, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
