Anderson, Kenneth (3 May 1908 – 6 Mar 1973)
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 2p.m. at the First
Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, for Kenneth M. Anderson, 64, 204 South 4th
Street, Abbotsford, who died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Marshfield. Death was due to natural causes.
The Rev. Keun Won Park will officiate, with burial in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Masonic services were held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Anderson was born May 3, 1908 in the town of Hull in Marathon County. On
February 20, 1932 he married Mildred Fults, who died in 1945. On March 20, 1950
he married Mabel J. Becker at Waukon, Iowa.
Mr. Anderson received his education in the Abbotsford Schools. He was a member
of the National Guard, and for 41 years, a line foreman for the Northern States
Power Company. He retired in 1969.
Mr. Anderson also coached the American Legion Junior Baseball team in Abbotsford
for about eight years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he was also an elder.
Mr. Anderson was also a member of the Abbotsford Masonic Lodge 298 and the
Medford Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.
Survivors, besides his wife, include two sons, Robert L., physical education
instructor at Abbotsford High School, and Kenneth A., head basketball coach of
the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds; two daughters, Mrs. William (Geraldine) Geary,
Baraboo, and Mrs. Travis (Elizabeth) Wilson, Crosby, Texas.
Thirteen grandchildren also survive, along with a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Audrey)
Schell, Abbotsford.
A son, Donald, preceded him in death.
