On April 3, 1972, 2nd Lt. Nile A. Newburn entered undergraduate pilot training
at Webb AFB, Big Springs, Texas. He has received silver Air Force wings during
recent graduation exercises. He was accompanied by his wife, Diane, the former
Diane Ogurek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Ogurek of Abbotsford.
Lt. Newburn will go on to advance pilot training on the F-100 aircraft at
Tucson, Arizona. Upon completion of Combat Crew Training, he will be assigned to
the 185th Tactical fighter group, Iowa A.N.G., Sioux City, Iowa, where he and
his wife will make their home.
