Hederer, Marie C. (20 Oct 1906 – 13 Mar 1973)
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 1973 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, Colby, for Mrs. Wenzel (Marie Clara) Hederer, 66, Colby, who
died Tuesday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been
admitted a week earlier. Death was due to a heart attack.
The Rev. Francis Rushman will officiate, with burial in the Gate of Heaven
Cemetery at Marshfield. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home,
Colby, beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday night at 8
o’clock.
Mrs. Hederer, the former Marie Weinert, was born at Rozellville on October 20,
1906. On October 28, 1924 she married Wenzel Hederer at St. Andrew’s Church at
Rozellville.
She received her education at St. Andrew’s Parochial School. After her marriage,
they lived in Marshfield for 16 years, moved to a farm near Unity, where they
farmed for 12 years, then moved to Colby, then lived for nine years at
Butternut, and for the past five years, resided in Colby.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Christian Mothers, and Colby Senior
Citizens.
Survivors, besides her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. Hendry (Barbara) Carr,
Colby, and two sons, Donald of Ladysmith and Harold of Unity. Thirteen
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Other survivors include three sister, Mrs. Alma Liebel, Marshfield, Mathilda
Weinert, Hales Corners, and Mrs. Frank (Leona) Mueller, West Allis.
A sister and brother preceded her in death.
