Staab, Karleen Marie (29 Jun 1973)
St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester was the setting for the June 29, 1973
wedding of Miss Karleen Marie Staab, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Staab,
Dorchester, and Thomas Michael Berg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Berg,
Marshfield.
Rev. Jacob Burggraf conducted the 6 p.m. ceremony, and the bride’s sister, Mary

For her wedding day, the bride chose a white gown of sheer organza highlighted
by Schifli and Venice lace trim. The natural waist bodice was accented by the
high neck and full bishop sleeves. A Camelot headpiece with Venice lace and
pearl trim secured the veil of bridal illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of
yellow and white roses and baby’s breath.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Diane Weber, Manitowoc, the matron of honor; Miss
Marilyn Becker, Marshfield, bridesmaid; Thomas Scheuer, Marshfield, bet man; and
Edward Brockner, Waunakee, groomsman Ushers for the occasion were John Staab and
Randy Hastreiter.
The bride’s attendants wore floor Length Empire styled gowns of light blue
dotted Swiss and Venice lace with bateau neckline and long puffed sleeves. They
carried wicker baskets of yellow and white daisies, white and blue tinted
pompons, and baby’s breath.
Following the ceremony the couple was honored at a dinner and reception at
Dorchester Memorial Hall.
The new Mrs. Berg is a 1968 graduate of Colby High School, and a 1971 graduate
