Neillsville New City Hall (Ribbon Cutting - 2022)

Although Neillsville city government has been housed there since Nov. 1, a ribbon cutting was held March 13 to formally commemorate the acquisition of the former BMO Harris Bank building and the subsequent relocation of Neillsville City Hall to that location. The building was purchased for $325,000. “Our total investment was approximately $500,000 for the building and all the equipment, and in today’s world you couldn’t replace this beautiful building for $1 million. We need to be more visible and promote our city. We are now located on the intersection of two highways, 10 and 73, easy for travelers with questions to stop in,” Mayor Diane Murphy said after the ribbon cutting. Current and former city officials posed for a photo. Shown (Front l-r) are Dan Clough, John Perrine, Jim Mankowski, Murphy, Chuck Glassbrenner, Rex Roehl, Luke Friemoth, Joe Neville and (back) Julie Counsell. The Neillsville Police Department held a ribbon cutting that same day for expanded facilities on Fifth Street. Jesse Heslip/Clark County Press.
