Wenzel, Carl J. (24 Aug 1885 – 26 Mar 1973)
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran
Church in the town of Frankfort for Carl J. Wenzel, 87, Route 1, Edgar, who died
Monday afternoon at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.
The Rev. Louis Davidson will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. The
Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, is in charge of arrangement.
Mr. Wenzel was born at Merrill on August 24, 1885. On June 8, 1910 he married
Phoebe Armitage at Seymour. They resided in the town of Frankfort until November
8, 1971, when they moved to the Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Mr. Wenzel came to the town of Frankfort at the age of seven, and for many years
served on the church board.
Survivors, besides his wife, include two sons, Eldred and Norman, both of the
town of Frankfort, and a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Bielke, Milwaukee.
Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive, along with a
brother, Arthur of Edgar.
A brother and sister preceded him in death.
