Living Hope Ev. Free Church (New Home - 1981)
Easter Sunday is one of the most important days of the year for Christians. For
members of the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville, this coming
Easter Sunday even takes on more significance.
Members of the congregation will hold their first Sunday service at their new
home in the community. The church recently purchased the former Christian
Science Church, located on east Fourth Street. This past week, members were seen
as they busily cleaned and repaired the white columned structure.
The congregation is a young one in Neillsville. Formed three years ago, it has
grown from a small group to many members. Since the start, the basement of the
old Neillsville Bank building served as the church’s home. The church also
operates a private school.
Dedication ceremonies are to take place at Sunday morning’s 10 o’clock service.
The Rev. Jim Westgate of the Great Lakes District headquarters will be the guest
speaker. Joining him will be the Rev. Wally Anderson, local pastor.
