Geisler, Kathryn F. (6 October 1891 – 9 April 1981)
Mrs. Kathryn F. Geisler, 80, died Thursday April 9, at the Memorial Nursing Home
in Neillsville, where she has resided since February 1980.
Mrs. Geisler, the former Kathryn Kuehn. Was a former resident of Greenwood. She
was born October 6, 1891, in Dodge County to Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Kuehn. She
was educated in the Decker School, in the Town of Warner and lived in the
Greenwood area before her marriage. On May 4, 1910, she was married in Greenwood
to Adolph Geisler.
They farmed in the Braun Settlement area except for the year 1943 when they
resided in Owen. They then returned and farmed here until retiring in June 1959.
They then moved to Owen to reside with their son, Norman. She was a member of
the Jehovah Witness Congregation in Withee.
Surviving are one son, Norman, Owen; one brother, Hubert Kuehn, Greenwood; one
half-brother, Helmuth Siems, Port Edwards; four grandchildren; and 8
great-grandchildren. Her husband died August 22, 1964. Also deceased are a son,
Ervin, who died in July 1980, and a brother, John.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 13, at the Maurina Funeral Home in
Owen. Ervin Robertson officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in
Withee. Pallbearers were Willard Collins, Ralph Kramer, Richard Alexander,
Alfred Malle, William Cammers and Walter Balbys. The organist was Ronnie Uhlig.
