Gebauer, Julia (17 February 1886 – 11 April 1981)
A native of Hungary and longtime Town of York woman, Mrs. Julia Gebauer, passed
away on Saturday, April 11 in Neillsville Memorial Home. She was 95 at the time
of her death.
Burial was made Tuesday morning, April 14, in Granton’s Windfall Cemetery.
According to Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton, no funeral services were held.
The deceased, nee Julia Hartman, was born on February 17, 1886, in Hungary. She
married Martin Gebauer in 1907 ceremonies in that country. Two years later, they
moved to the United States, first living in Milwaukee and then moving to a farm
in the Town of York.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Schmidt of Loyal and Lizzy Gebauer,
address unknown; seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband and one son.
