Langrehr, Rose (17 February 1898 – 9 April 1981)
The Rev. E.T. Keller of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Pittsville officiated at
the funeral service for Mrs. Kenneth (Rose) Langrehr on Sunday afternoon, April
12. Mrs. Langrehr, 83, of Rt. 1 Granton, passed away in Neillsville Memorial
Hospital on Thursday morning, April 9.
Sandy Helm and Mrs. Roger Helm offered special music for the service. Burial was
made in the Town of Lynn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Dan Adams, Nils
Swanson, Leland Dopp, Richard Grassman, Wilbur Sanger and Herb Puscheck.
The deceased was born on February 17, 1898, in the Town of Lynn to Albert and
Albertina (Handt) Viergutz. She received her education at Maplewood Lutheran
School in Granton. On March 20, 1918, she married Kenneth Langrehr in Granton
ceremonies. The couple farmed in the Town of Lynn and then moved to Marshfield
before returning to the Town of Lynn.
Surviving her besides her husband, is one son, Lawrence, Marshfield; one
daughter, Mrs. Victor (Gloria) Porath, Granton; a sister, Mrs. Elda Brooks,
Granton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by one infant son.
