The Clark County Fair Extension Homemakers booth will provide demonstrations
each day at the fair this year.
Geesla Haluska will demonstrate the calico star and Lorrie Smith will
demonstrate picture frames. Wreaths will be demonstrated by Josephine Debevec.
Deane Perko demonstrated candy making. The homemakers quilt also will be on
display.
The fair's Dairy Booth is being run by Extension Homemakers and money raised
will provide Homemakers and 4-H scholarships. Scholarship recipients this year
were Amy Horn (4-H scholarship), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Horn of Route
3, Greenwood; Susan Richmond (Homemakers scholarship), daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jerold Richmond of Route 2, Greenwood; 4-H alternate is Judith Heindle, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Heindle of Dorchester. Homemakers alternate is Karen
Metzke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Metzke of Greenwood.
Scholarship committee members are Mary Kipp of Route 1, Loyal, Debbie Vine of
Route 2, Granton, and Virginia Meyer of Route 1, Unity.
