Tessmer, Herman M. (14 Jul 1899 – 7 Apr 1973)
Funeral services for Herman M. Tessmer, 73, a former Dorchester resident, were
held last Wednesday at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. The funeral services had
been held at a funeral home in Oshkosh prior to being brought here for burial.
Mr. Tessmer died at his home in Oshkosh Saturday, April 7, 1973. He had been in
ill health for nearly two years. He was born in Dorchester July 14, 1899, and
spent his early life in the area.
He worked in the lumbering business in Oregon before going to Oshkosh in 1946,
where had had lived since. He was married May 22, 1965 to Mrs. Edna Westfall in
Oshkosh.
He is survived by his wife and four sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Sauter, Dorchester;
Mrs. Walter (Martha) Juedes, Wausau; Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Hurth, Hartford, and
Mrs. Eva Curtis, Sun City, Arizona.
