Meyer, Mary Louise (11 April 1981)
Mary Louise Meyer and Larry W. DuBois were united in marriage in Saturday
evening, April 11, Candlelight ceremonies at Gethsemane Lutheran Church,
Northglenn, Colorado. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Wilhelm H. Meyer of
Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Dubois, Lubbock, Texas.
The bride was presented to the altar by her brother, d/avid Meyer, Neillsville.
The Re. Arnold Ahlman officiated with Lewis Krueger of Denver offering “The
Wedding Song,” “Blessing” and “The Lord’s Prayer” as special musical selections;
Floyd Timmerman of Denver was organist.
Shannon Short, a classmate of the bride’s from Nashville, Tennessee, was matron
of honor. She was joined by Diana Wilson, Sioux City, Iowa, another schoolmate;
and Beverly DuBois, the groom’s sister from Lubbock.
Bestman was rick Allen, a friend of the groom from Boulder, Colorado. Ushering
were Frank Benzoni and Bill Relyea, both Denver friends of the groom.
The bride chose an organza-over-satin gown in a sleeveless style with shawl
collar, scooped neckline, chapel-length train of the mantilla type and
waist-length veil. Her attendants wore blue, long, sheer dresses with long
sleeves. They wore flowers in their hair and carried bouquets of rose buds and
baby’s breath. The groom, his attendants and the ushers were attired in blue
tuxedos.
Following the wedding, the reception was held at the North Gate Hall. The couple
then left on a wedding trip to Sante Fe, New Mexico. They will make their home
in Westminster, Colorado.
The new Mrs. DuBois is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm,
Minnesota, and is a secretary to the J.W. Brewer Tire Company of Denver. Her
husband, an electrical engineer, is employed by Flack and Kurtz Consulting
Engineers of Denver.
