Dehart, Sanford A. “Sandy” (30 December 1912 – 17 April 1981)

A former Town of Levis resident, Sanford (Sandy) A. Dehart, died in his Perry, Illinois residence on April 17. He was 68.

He was born on December 30, 1912, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Lawrence and Geraldine (Martin) Dehart. On July 12, 1932, he married Vera Odell in Harvard, Illinois, ceremonies.

Surviving him, besides his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. James (Anne) Filitz of Neillsville, Mrs. Ray (Sharon) Fash of Peoria, Illinois, and Mrs. John (Carol) Bredlau of Harvard, Illinois; and a son, Lawrence, Peoria. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two aunts, Mrs. Pearl Zimmerman of Beardstown, Illinois, and Mrs. Lena Dunham of Plymouth, Illinois.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning, April 21, from Griggsville, Illinois, funeral home.
