Allen M. Becker, a senior at Colby High School, has been appointed to the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The announcement was made by Seventh District Congressman Dave Obey.

Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur J. Becker, Route 2, Colby, will report to the academy on July 2, 1973. He will then begin four years of schooling, including six week summer camps each year.

Upon completion of his studies at the academy in 1977, he will begin five years of duty in the Air Force.

Becker, an outstanding athlete at Colby High School, will graduate this spring in the top ten percent of his class.
