Miss Mona L. Barge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Darge of Spencer, was
given in marriage by her father August 6 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Spencer,
to Allan J. Ress, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ress, Route 1, Spencer.
The Rev. David J. Ault officiated at the ceremony for which Mary Strey was
vocalist and Tammy Strey, pianist.
A Victorian gown of chantilly lace with chapel train and a matching lace and
tulle fingertip veil worn by the bride, who carried a bouquet of while, pink and
red roses.
Her aides were Miss Vickie Dage of Spencer, the maid of honor, and Billee and
Sally Darge and Susie, Tammy and Robin Ress. The bridesmaid's ensemble was in
fuchsia and the bridesmaids in a paler shade, each with a caplet. The attendants
had flowers in their hair and carried bouquets of pink, red and white rosebuds.
Willie Ress of Spencer was best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Darge, Randy and Dean
Ress, Jim Huber and Jim Miller, and ushering were Dave Endries and Steve Gropp.
The dinner and dance were at the VFW Hall in Colby. They are living on Route 2,
Spencer. The newlyweds graduated from Spencer High School, the bride this year
and her husband last year. He farms and she works for Figi's Inc.
