Rev. Arthur Rasch, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North Green Grove, and
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Unity Township, was honored at a farewell-retirement
party Sunday, May 27, 1973.
Rev. Wm. Ruhbusch was the guest speaker for the occasion. Rev. and Mrs. Rasch
received many gifts from the members and organizations of the two churches. Rev.
Rasch was married to the former Marie Reinke on June 16, 1926 in St. Louis,
Missouri. He completed his ministry training that same year, and in November of
that year they went to India as missionaries, where they remained for 27 years.
Rev. Rasch also served congregations in Friedheim, Missouri (seven and one-half
year), Mead Kansas (four and one-half years), and the last seven and one-half
years at his present position.
The Rasches are the parents of nine children, three of whom are deceased. Paul
died in India, Arthur in Kansas and Mary in St. Louis. Remaining children are

teacher and organist in Grenada Hill, California; Robert, St. Louis, Missouri;
Mrs. Fred (Linda) Jordan, Corning, New York; Mrs. James (Virginia) Blind, St.
