Jaenicke, Norma (1 October 1902 – 4 May 1981)

Norma Jaenicke, a former Granton resident, died Monday, May 4, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.

Mrs. Jaenicke was born October 1, 1902, to Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Spry of Granton. Survivors include three sons, Darwin and Gordon of Kankakee, Illinois, and Alvin of Lompoc, California; a daughter, Ellen Wood, Fort Dodge, Iowa; and 16 grandchildren.

Relatives in this area include two nephews, Robert Spry and Donovan Spry of Chili; a niece, Beverly Helm, Chili; besides several cousins.

A memorial in her name has been established for the Granton United Methodist Church.

Private services were held Thursday, May 7, in Kankakee, Illinois, with the Rev. Arthur Runyan of Asbury United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Attending from here were Mrs. Jessie Spry and son, Donovan, Chili.
