Denise Loucks, a 1970 graduate of Abbotsford High School, was recently elected
president of the Carroll College Band Council for the coming school year.
The council is a legislative organization serving as a liaison between the band
members and the director, James Moss, which formulates band policy.
Miss Loucks is also so-president of the Carroll College chapter of the Music
Educators National Conference, and serves both as band assistant and student
representative to the music department faculty.
She is a member of the Carroll College concert band, jazz band, wind ensemble,
and clarinet quartet. She also played clarinet and flute in the pit orchestra
for the Carroll College production of “1776 earlier this spring.
Miss Loucks, who will be a senior next fall, is currently taking clarinet
lessons from Russell Dagon of the Milwaukee and Waukesha Symphony Orchestras.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Loucks of Route 1, Abbotsford.
