Barker, Louise A. (12 Dec 1887 – 2 Jun 1973)
Mrs. Louise A. Barker, 86, of Abbotsford, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 2,
1973 at Memorial Hospital in Medford.
Visitation was held Monday at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church in
Abbotsford, with burial in the Abbotsford Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Loehrke
officiated at the services.
The former Louis Malchow was born December 12, 1887 in the Town of Mayville. She
received her education in the Dorchester schools. On June 10, 1908 she married
Seth Barker in Dorchester. Mr. Barker died August 10, 1965. They had farmed in
the Town of Holton and lived in Park Falls. Mrs. Barker had been a resident of
Abbotsford for the past 18 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Alice) Oehler, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Gay
(Marie) Graffunder, Medford; two sons, Elmo of Spencer and Arnold of Mayville;
two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Marlow, Dorchester, and Mrs. Hugo Zenker, Park Falls;
two brothers, Walter Malchow, Stevens Point, and Fred Malchow, Dorchester;
twelve grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
Her husband, a son, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
