Frank R. Beran of the Abbotsford High School Future Farmers of America Club, was
awarded the State Farmer Degree this past week at the state FFA Convention held
at Green Lake. The State Farmer Degree is the highest degree that a state
association may confer upon a member. Only 2 percent of the total state
membership may receive the degree.
The requirement for the degree are based on the applicant’s leadership ability,
scholarship ability, FFA activities, and supervised occupational experience
program.
Frank has an outstanding program consisting of a large swine enterprise. He also
owns a registered dairy heifer. He has been very active in FFA, serving as
president this past year. Frank’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beran, Rural
Route 2, Athens.
