Mannel, Karon Ruth (18 Aug 1973)

On August 18, 1973 at 4 o’clock in the United Methodist Church in Rib Lake, Miss Karon Ruth Mannel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth O. Mannel, Rib Lake, and James Corwin Dallmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Corwin Dallmann of Unity, were united in marriage. The Rev. Henry Bahrenburg officiated.

Music was provided by Gary Waldhart, Medford, as organist. He and Miss Beth Parks of Rib Lake sang a duet , “The Wedding Song.”

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in an entrained bridal gown of sheer nylon organza with high lace neckline featuring long puffed sleeves. A matching lace edged veil fell from a lace Camelot headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white pixie carnations and red miniature roses.

Miss Susan Mahaffey, a friend from Madison, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Julie Mannel, cousin of the bride, and Miss Kate Dallmann, the groom’s sister.

They were attired in empire styled gowns of gold and blue printed chiffon over taffeta with bateau necklines and puffed sleeves. Each carried a gold, blue and white carnation. The flower girl carried a basket combination of the three flowers.

Warren Ayers, Wausau, was best man. Groomsmen were Douglas Ayers, Unity, the groom’s cousin, and Kyle Mannel, the bride’s brother. Kevin Mannel and Dennis Bloom shared ushering duties.

Following the wedding the couple was given a ride around Unity in a Model A Ford owned by Leo Bloom, Unity.

After a week’s wedding trip to the Minocqua area, the newlyweds are making their home in Rib Lake.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Rib Lake High School and graduated from the UW-Stevens Point…(the rest of my copy was cut off.)
