Miss Deborah Jean Friedenfels, 17, was crowned Miss Clark Rural Electrification
for the current year. Her activities for her reigning year include participating
in the Miss Wisconsin Rural Electrification contest next March. Miss Friedenfels
was a May graduate from the Owen-Withee High School, and plans to attend
Northland College this fall.
Her hobbies include horses, art, snowmobiling and water skiing, collecting
agates, and all outdoor activities, and gymnastics.
During her high school years she has been a member of the National Honor
Society, French and A.F.S. Club, Ski Club, Art Club, Girls Athletics, Drama
Club, F.H.A, and Library Council. At present she is in the 4-H Horse Club and
the Hash Knife Outfit. She helped with painting and decorating at the Clark
County Hospital at Christmas.
She enjoys sewing and cooking and participates in youth meetings and helps
organize masses for her church.
Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Friedenfels, Route 2, Owen.
She is looking forward to an exciting year ahead, and will have the opportunity
to take part in the Electric Cooperative Youth Congress at River Falls in July.
