The Rev. James LeMaster officiated at the August 14 wedding of Miss Penny Lou
Mantik, Route 1, Abbotsford and Larry Michael Lecheler, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Lecheler of Route 1, Elmwood.
The bride was given in marriage by her father during ceremonies at First Baptist
Church, Medford.
She wore an ivory Queen Anne gown of lace with cathedral train and a matching
derby, and carried a bridal arrangement.
Miss Gloria Jean Mantik of Route 1, Abbotsford, was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Pamela Wildberg, Peggy Sue Stanley, Kimberly Mantik of Medford,
Cindy Lecheler of St. Paul and Nancy Kallstrom, Abbotsford. Flower girls were
Ericka Arndt of Medford and Chrissy Heldt, Racine.
The best man was Robert Lecheler. Groomsmen were Bruce and Mark Lecheler, the
Rev. Michael Mulloy, Dr. Perry Arndt and Jim Elliott. Ring bearers were Benjamin
Arndt, Medford, and Travis Krause, Elmwood.
The wedding reception and dinner were at Stetsonville Centennial Hall. After a
several-day honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the Lechelers will live at 121 W.
Spruce St., Abbotsford.
The bride attended Abbotsford High School and the Medford and Wausau University
of Wisconsin Extension. She is an auditor for Abbotsford State Bank. Her
husband, an art teacher at Medford Senior high School, attended Elmwood High
School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
