Three Colby Future Farmers of American members received Wisconsin Farmer
Degrees, the top award presented by the Wisconsin Association of the Future
Farmers of America, at the state convention at Green Lake.
The three youths are Dale Abegglan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Abegglan, Route
1, Abbotsford; Jim Schraufnagel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Schraufnagel, Route 1,
Colby; and Russ Bedroske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bedroske, Route 1,
Dorchester.
The degree is bestowed annually on two percent of the state membership.
Colby chapter delegates were Gary Mann, president, and Mike Gutenberger,
secretary.
The Colby parliamentary procedure team representing section seven place second
in their respective contest. Team members are Steve Kadonsky, Bruce Pawlowicz,
Diane Rankel, Randy Lube, Russ Bedroske and Gary Mann.
Accompanying the group was vocation agriculture instructor, Don Spranger.
