Strebe, Mabel (6 Dec 1883 – 3 Jun 1973)
Mrs. Mabel Strebe, 89, of Abbotsford, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 1973 at
the Colonial House of Colby, where she had resided for the past two years.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. at the First
Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Rev. Keun Won Park will officiate. Visitation
is being held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home until noon today, when the body will
be taken to the church.
The former Mabel Dickenson was born in the Town of Hull on December 6, 1883. She
lived on the homestead farm in the town of Hull until 1911, when she moved to
Abbotsford with her mother. She was married to August Strebe in 1922. He
preceded her in death in 1938.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Marjorie Brehm of
