Michael J. Hutchins, son of Mrs. Kathleen L. Fritsche, Route 1, Colby, was
presented a Civil Service Special Achievement Award for his meritorious service
and outstanding contribution to the 932nd Aeromedical Airlift Group by the
Commander, Colonel James E. McAdoo, recently at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
Technical Sergeant Hutchins was also recognized by Lt. Col. I.D. Richardson,
73rd Aeromedical Airlift Squadron Commander, for his contribution to the reserve
unit’s “flying hospital” program during aeromedical evacuation flights. His
patient bedside manner, calmness, and mature judgment resulted in the highest
quality of patient care and superb inflight management of medical technicians.
TSgt Hutchins was also recognized for his outstanding professional participation
in the Military Command’s “Operation Homecoming,” which managed the return
airlift of American POW’s within the United States.
