Heiman, Lorene (7 Jul 1973)
Wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Lorene Heiman and Benjamin Jakel, July 7,
1873, in an afternoon service at First Lutheran Church, St. Peter, Minnesota.
Pastor Herbert Chilstrom and Father Eugene Hackert officiated at the double ring
ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Mr. And Mrs. Gus Heiman, Alcester, South Dakota, and
the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jakel, Colby.
The bride chose a Juliet style gown of silk and lace with long, flowing chapel
train and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses and mums.
Attendants were Miss LaDonna Heiman, Mrs. Richard Jakel and Mrs. Thomas Jakel.
They were attired in hot pink sleeveless gowns, wearing floppy brimmed hats
accented with multi-colored chiffon scarves. White mums were carried. Rhoda
Holtkamp, cousin of the bride, was crucifer.
Groomsmen were Larry Ludke, Lynden Heiman and Richard and Thomas Jakel. The
dinner-reception was held at the Happy Chef Banquet Room, followed by a wedding
dance at the Kato Ballroom, Mankato, Minnesota.
After flying to Florida for their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Jakel will reside
at 1014 S. 35th, Manitowoc, where the groom is sales manager of WOMT Radio.
