Briski, Ruth Ann (30 May- 1981)

Ruth Ann Briski and Raymond Robert MacDonald were united in marriage in Saturday afternoon, May 30, ceremonies at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Daniel Ahrens of Trinity Lutheran officiated.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Briski, Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert MacDonald, West Allis.

Offering special music at the service were Marie Crothers and Kevin Peuse.

Julie Hauser of Bloomington, Mn., was the maid of honor. She was joined by Gail Lee, Oshkosh; Laurie Briski, the bride’s cousin from Altoona; Ruby Westlund, Centuria. Judy and Sadie Nolan were flower girls.

Serving as bestman was Mark Zimmer of Greenwood. He was joined by Todd Lassa, New Berlin; and Dan and Steve Briski, the bride’s brothers of Greenwood. Ushering were Larry Briski, another brother of the bride from Eau Claire, and Dan Fritter, Madison.

The bride chose a high-necked, sheer-yoked, lace-trimmed gown featuring a pleated chiffon cape effect over sheer long sleeves. The gown also had a natural waist, pleated chiffon skirt and chapel-length train. Her veil was of fingertip-length and was lace trimmed. She carried a cascading bouquet of pink roses, stephanotis and ivy. Her attendants wore empire-styled, jersey knit gowns in rainbow shades and wore pillbox hats with face-length veils. They carried colonial-style bouquets of roses and lilies.

Following the service, a reception was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.

The new Mrs. MacDonald is a 1977 graduate of Greenwood High School and from UW-Eau Claire in 1981. Her husband is a 1976 graduate of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and from UW-Eau Claire in 1981. They will make their home in Madison.
