Clark Co.-Colleges (Awards - 1981)
Area men and Women enrolled at Colleges, universities or tech school or who are
employed by the higher education institutions recently gained note by their
schools.
In recent announcements, by school, were:
UW-Extension— Mike Perkl, Clark County’s 4-H and youth agent, recently was named
to the rank of associate professor.
UW-La Crosse— Receiving degrees at a spring commencement were Kathryn Bischoff,
a senior majoring in pollical science of 209 West 19th St., Neillsville; and
Vicki Mueller, a senior majoring in physical education, of Withee. Named to the
dean’s list for the spring semester were Crystal Garbisch, a senior majoring in
elementary education, of Rt. 1 Humbird; and Michael Meier, a freshman majoring
in computer science, of Rt. 1 Neillsville.
UW-Stout— Recent graduates from the Menomonie campus were Betty Bayuk, daughter
of William Bayuk, Rt. 1 Willard, who majored in home economics education; and
Vickie Schwartz (summa cum laude), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Schwartz, 206
Clay St., Neillsville, who majored in early childhood education. Vickie was
given a merit award for academic achievement, ranking in the top 25 of her
class.
Mid-State Tech, Marshfield— An honor list for the second semester included
Kathryn Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Johnson, Rt. 1 Greenwood; Lisa
Potter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Sisson, 314 East Sixth St., Neillsville;
and Darla Schmitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Schmitz, 111 Division St.
Neillsville.
Mid-State Tech, Wisconsin Rapids— An honor list for the second semester included
Kathie Rapp, Rt. 1 Neillsville.
