Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, performed the 5 p.m. wedding August 11, 1973 of Miss
Stephanie Carlson and Phil M. Nelson at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carlson of Curtiss and Mr. and
Mrs. John Nelson of Route 1, Abbotsford.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Bob Light of Dorchester and John Pfalzgraf of
Abbotsford. The organist was Rhonda Buss.
For her wedding day the bride was attired in a white floor length dress with
yellow daisy trim at the neck. She carried pink and white carnations. Mrs. Light
wore a floor length yellow dress with white daisy trim at the neck.
Following the ceremony, the immediate families of the couple and the attendants
dined at the Sky Lite Club in Athens. A reception and dance were held at the
Curtiss Hall later in the evening.
The bride is a 1972 graduate of the Owen-Withee High School. She is employed at
Medo Farms Restaurant in Abbotsford. Her husband is a 1965 graduate of
Abbotsford High School, and graduate from Medford Teachers College in 1969. He
is a teacher at Chelsea.
After a wedding trip to the western United States, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson will be
at home in Abbotsford.
