Frane, Barbara (11 Aug 1973)
After a honeymoon through the Eastern United States, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Maldonis, the former Barbara Frane, are making their first home at 116 South
First Street in Abbotsford.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoard Frane of Route 1, Curtiss, and the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Maldonis, Route 1, Abbotsford, were married in Christ Lutheran
Church in Abbotsford on August 11, 1973. Rev. Kenneth Loehrke presided at the 2
p.m. ceremony. The organist was Jill Bremer and the soloist was Bruce Klocke.
For her wedding day the bride chose a white floor length dress of sheer organza
and re-embroidered lace, featuring a high neckline, short puff sleeves and
chapel train. Her bouquet was of yellow roses and white daisy pomps with baby’s
breath.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Nancy Laabs of Curtiss.
Bridesmaids were Arlyne Frane of Wausau and Sandy Strathman of Abbotsford. They
were attired in lime green dresses and white picture hats, and carried white
wicker baskets of mixed daisy pomps and baby’s breath.
The flower girl and ring bearer were Judy Schneider and Robin Maldonis.
Best man was Gary Theilman of Burnsville. Groomsmen were Tom Frane of Wausau and
Gary Lukas of Abbotsford. Daniel Kuntz of Green Bay and David Gierl of
Abbotsford provided the ushering services.
Following the church services, a dinner was served in the church parlor, and a
reception and dance were held in the Abbotsford City Hall.
Mrs. Maldonis is a 1973 graduate of Abbotsford High School….(a couple of line
were cut off from my copy)…from Colby High School and is employed as a mechanic
at Abbotsford Auto Company.
