Nosbisch, Christina (31 Jul 1895 – 18 Aug 1973)
Mrs. Michael (Christina) Nosbisch, Colby, died Saturday at St. Joseph’s
Hospital, Marshfield, at the ag eof 78.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The
Rev. Francis Rushman officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Reigel, Michael Reigel, William Gottschalk, James Murphy,
Virgil Folz and Marcel Linzmeier.
She was born July 31, 1895 in Staceyville, Iowa, and married Michael Nosbisch
April 23, 1918 at North Washington, Iowa.
The couple moved to Edgar in 1920 and to the Town of Colby in 1938, where they
farmed until 1957, before moving into the City of Colby.
Mrs. Nosbisch was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, The Christian Mothers
Society and the Women’s National Catholic Society of Foresters.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Vincent, Milwaukee, and Lavern, Colby;
three daughters, Mrs. Victor (Lavona) Reigel, Milladore, Florentina Nosbisch,
Neillsville, and Mrs. Arnold (Alvera) Gottschalk, Colby; five sisters, three
brothers, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brothers, sister and great-grandchild.
