Blair, Herman E. (4 Oct 1897 – 17 Aug 1973)

Herman Eugene Blair, age 75, Abbotsford, died Friday evening in the Colonia House of Colby.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Colby United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lee Holmes, brother-in-law to Mr. Blair, officiating. Burial was in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Emil Johnson, Bernard Mabbott, Morris Mantor, Harley Lidell, Don Streich, and Harold Freeman.

He was born October 4, 1897 in Plainfield. He farmed in the Town of unity until 1952.

Mr. Blair served on the Unity Town Board and the Colby Methodist Church board. He was one of the original singers of the article of incorporation of Clark Electric Cooperative.

He married Eunice Holmes January 21, 1920, in Colby.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Eugene, Abbotsford, and Lyle, Muskego, a sister, Mrs. Grace Billman, Plainfield, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
