Brunker, Mary Lee (11 Aug 1973)
The Cloister Chapel in Stevens Point was the setting of the August 11, 1973
wedding of Miss Mary Lee Brunker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brunker of Colby,
and Gene Reineking, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Reineking of Colby.
Rev. Krynski of Stevens Point performed the 1 p.m. guitar mass before the altar
bedecked with white daisies and yellow roses.
Escorted to the altar by her father, Mary Lee appeared in a gown of white
eyelet, with full long sleeves with long cuff, scoop neckline of full skirt. She
carried a bouquet of white daisies and yellow roses.
Attending the bride were her sisters, Nancy and Ellen Brunker, plus Mary Lynn
Orlando and Helen Osier, college classmates of the bride. They were attired in
various colors of checked gingham dresses with empire waists, tiered ruffled
skirts and baby doll sleeves. They carried baskets of white daisies and
carnations, roses and straw flowers tinted to match each one’s dress. Their
headpieces were of daisies and lily of the valley.
The groom’s attendants were Charles Wheelock, John Bauknecht, and Tom Lehr,
college classmates of the groom, and his brother Wayne Reineking. Richard
Bartnik and Tom Walter seated the guests.
Randy Kust of Black Creek was the guitarist and soloist for the ceremony. He
sang the “Wedding Song,” “Morning Has Broken, “Rhymes and Reasons: and “Follow
Me.”
The Colby Hotel was the setting of the reception, buffet and dance attended by
approximately 200 guests.
The new Mrs. Reineking has a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin,
Stevens Point. She is employed as a teacher of communicative disorders in
Janesville. Her husband is also a graduate of Stevens Point and is employed in
Janesville, where they are making their home at 420 E. Centerway.
