Fay Hainzlsperger, a 1973 graduate of Colby High School, was recently notified
that she is to be featured in the seventh annual edition of “Who’s Who Among
American High School Students, 1972-73,” the largest student award publication
in the nation.
Students from over 18,000 public, private and parochial schools throughout the
country are recognized for their leadership in academics, athletics, activities
or community service in the book. Less than two percent of the junior and senior
class students nationwide are awarded this recognition.
Fay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hainzlsperger of Colby. While in high
school she was active in FHA, GAA, Annual Staff, student council treasurer,
Forensics Club, National Honor Society, choir, Pep Club, Masquers president, and
Thespians. She has also receive Marathon County Future Homemaker of America
Award, was a participant at the fourth biennial Laird Youth Leadership
Foundation Conference, received a scholarship from the Forensics Club, a service
award in Masquers and 4-H Key Award.
Fay is now attending Viterbo College in La Crosse and is studying nursing.
